What is SumSweet?

Sumsweet is 100% natural allulose. Allulose is a zero-calorie sugar with the same clean, sweet taste you expect from sugar.

Allulose is one of many different sugars that exist in nature in very small quantities. It was initially identified from wheat and has since been found in certain fruits including jackfruit, figs, and raisins. Allulose is naturally present in small quantities in a variety of sweet foods like caramel sauce, maple syrup, and brown sugar.

A monosaccharide, or simple sugar, allulose is absorbed by the body, but not metabolized so it’s calorie-free.

Why does the SumSweet+ Confectioners clump?

Over time, powdered sugar often forms small clumps. We use so little food starch in our products that it might develop clumps and that is nothing to worry about.
