
Caramel Pecan Clusters
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup sumsweet+ Granular
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cups pecans halves lightly toasted
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
Caramel Sauce
- Prepare a sheet tray by covering it with waxed or parchment paper.
- Combine sumsweet+ granular, salt and cream in a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Stir with a spoon until sumsweet+ is dissolved, then continue to stir to keep from scorching.
- Watch for color to start to change. As soon as it turns a caramel brown,
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and butter. Continue to stir until mixture thickens.
- Stir in all pecans, and drop by teaspoonfuls on prepared sheet tray.
- Allow to cool completely at room temperature before removing from parchment paper.
Toast Pecans
- Place pecan flat on baking tray lined with parchment bake at 250 for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
